Manitowoc Walmart evacuated due to bomb threat

Around 5:20 PM Saturday, the Manitowoc Walmart received a telephone threat of a bomb in the store. The Manitowoc Police Department evacuated the store and along with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Green Bay Police Department’s K-9 unit, searched the building but found no explosives. The evacuation and search took about four hours and the store was allowed to reopen around 9:30 PM. No one was injured during the incident. Detectives from the Manitowoc Police Department are continuing  to investigate the threat.
