Man Wounded During Afternoon Robbery

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was shot Sunday afternoon as he was being robbed.  According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the man was walking in the area of N 40th Street and W Thurston Avenue around 3:30 PM when approached by a suspect who attempted to rob him.   The victim said he began to run away.  The suspect fire several gunshots which struck the victim.  He was taken to a local hospital and treated for a non-life threatening wound.  The MPD is investigating the incident and searching for a suspect.
