Man, woman killed in crash on Milwaukee's south side; suspect in custody

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people are dead and a woman is in custody after a crash on Milwaukee's south side. 

It happened Saturday, Oct. 17 around 8:30 p.m. near South 27th Street and Abbott Avenue. 

Milwaukee police say a 48-year-old man was driving home along with a 50-year-old female passenger, when they were struck by another vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. 

Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The 34-year old female driver of the other vehicle was rushed to a local hospital but is expected to survive. She was taken into custody and felony charges are expected.

The investigation is still on going.
