Man suspected of killing Middleton woman was renting a room at her house

MIDDLETON, Wis. (AP) — Police say the man suspected of killing an elderly woman in her Middleton home was renting a room at her house.

Authorities on Monday named the 53-year-old boarder as the man being held in the Dane County Jail. An autopsy determined 82-year-old Agnes Bram died of blows to the head. A family member found Bram's body in her garage Friday.

The State Journal reports the suspect was found sleeping in a UW Hospital waiting room early Saturday morning.

Police say he had rented a room from Bram for about six months. Charges are pending.
