Man Suffers Serious Head Injury After Being Struck Near Summerfest

Family say a local man was jumped by multiple individuals while leaving a concert at Summerfest Friday night.

Milwaukee Police issued a statement that described it as two men getting into a verbal altercation with several subjects in the 600 block of East Summerfest Place on Friday around 11:20 PM. 

According to Milwaukee Police,  the 24-year-old man was punched and didn’t require medical attention at the scene. 

The 28-year-old man was struck in the head and suffered serious injuries.  He was transported to a local hospital where he is still receiving medical treatment. 

According to family members that reached out to CBS 58, the incident occurred near Miller Lite Oasis.

Milwaukee Police's investigation into the incident is ongoing.  

While friends have taken to social media imploring the public to help find those responsible, the victim's family is declining comment.
