Man spits on Officer following arrest
MOUNTS PLEASANT, WI (CBS 58) -- An 18-year-old Racine man is facing charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting and Officer and Batter to a Law Enforcement Officer after he kicked a police officer and then spat on him.
Brandon Perez is accused of kicking a Mount Pleasant Police officer as he was being taken into custody and once in the back of a squad car, he spat in the Officer’s face. The Police also report that while being taken to the Racine County Jail, Perez began banging his head on the squad car cage.
Around 9 PM Friday the Police received a 911 call from a business office at Oakes Road and Kinsie Avenue of a man banging on a locked door. Police identified the man as Perez, the boyfriend of a woman who had sought shelter in the business office. The Police report that Perez appeared to be intoxicated and was not complying with Officers requests.
Perez is being held in the Racine County Jail on $5,450 bail.
The Officer did not require medical attention and no other reports of injuries following the incident.
