Man Shot While Walking on City Street

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of N. Palmer and W Center Streets at about 9:35 PM Tuesday. An  18-year-old man told Police that he was walking in the area when he heard several gunshots and then he  realized that he had been  shot.  The 18-year-old  called for medical help.   The Milwaukee Fire Department treated the young man at the scene and then transported him to a local hospital where he  is being treated for a non- life threatening gunshot injury.  The MPD continues to investigate the incident and is searching for a suspect.
