Man shot several times on West National

A 32-year-old man was shot several times in the 2300 block of West National at 7:30 PM on September 14.

Officers from the Neighborhood Task Force were in the immediate area and saw two men fleeing from the sound of shots, one armed with a handgun.

The officers pursued them and caught the armed suspect after a short foot pursuit. The other subject is not in custody. The victim sustained numerous gunshot wounds but is expected to survive. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
