Milwaukee County Sheriff\'s Office

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man charged with killing two teenagers in South Milwaukee back in December of 2022 was sentenced to 36 years in prison Tuesday, June 3.

Brandon Randall pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree reckless homicide last month. Charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and selling/delivering/possession of a firearm silencer were dismissed.

Prosecutors say Randall fatally shot 17-year-old Ava Allen and 18-year-old Jaelen Yracheta near 5th Avenue and Bay Heights. The teens were found dead in a car outside an apartment complex.

Officials say text messages suggest Randall planned to buy marijuana from one of the victims on the day of the shooting.

Records show his sentence includes 14 years of extended supervision.
