Man dies in Waukesha parking lot during Wednesday storms, lightning strike suspected
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man believed to be in his 40s died Wednesday, April 15 after being found unresponsive in a Waukesha parking lot during severe storms, according to police.
Emergency responders were called to a business in the 2000 block of Golf Road at around 7:43 p.m. after a caller reported a man down and unsure if he was breathing.

Police said witnesses and evidence at the scene were consistent with a lightning strike, and preliminary information indicates he may have been struck while walking through the parking lot. Heavy rain, thunder and lightning were moving through the area at the time.
