Man sentenced to 3 years for hit-and-run crash that injured family outside Fiserv Forum

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A man will spend three years behind bars for a hit-and-run crash that happened outside Fiserv Forum in November of 2019. The crash injured a family of four from Hartford, including two young boys, ages 5 and 8. 

A judge on Friday, July 16, sentenced 23-year-old Christopher Covington to three years in prison and one year of extended supervision. 

Covington pleaded guilty to two felony counts in the incident and received the maximum sentence. 

Investigators were able to determine Covington was driving at the time of the crash through Instagram videos and data. The videos showed Covington in the driver's seat.
