Man pulled from water at Port Washington's South Beach dies

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man who was pulled from the water at South Beach in Port Washington, and rushed to the hospital, has died.
Port Washington police identified the man as 71-year-old Alan Ash of Mequon.
Officials say this was a result of a tragic swimming accident and the man drowned.
The Port Washington Police and Fire Departments extend their thoughts to the family and friends of the victim.

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say a man was pulled from the water at South Beach in the city of Port Washington Wednesday, Aug. 18, and taken to an area hospital.
Rescue personnel arrived on scene around 3:24 p.m. after a caller indicated that a man was under a flotation device in Lake Michigan and possibly drowning.
Upon arrival, officers found that the unresponsive patient had been brought ashore.
Bystanders performed CPR and further lifesaving efforts were given by first responders before the man was transported to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
Officials say his condition is unknown at this time.
