Man killed, four others hurt in Dodge County crash

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man is dead and four others hurt after a crash in the Town of Theresa in Dodge County. 

The crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at the intersection of Hochheim Road and Freedom Road. 

According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, a car heading northbound on Freedom Road failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and was hit by a pick-up truck going westbound on Hochheim Road. 

A 19-year-old Mayville man who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 19-year-old Mayville man who was also a passenger had serious injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to a local hospital. 

The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle and a third passenger, a 16-year-old girl from Theresa, were taken to the hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. 

The driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old man from rural Mayville, was also taken by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. 

The crash is being investigated by both the Dodge County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol. The names of those involved have not been released by officials.
