Man in critical condition after being struck by car

A 61-year-old Milwaukee man received serious injuries when he was struck by a car in the area of W Appleton Avenue and Grantosa Drive.  According to the Milwaukee Police, around 11 PM the man apparently walked into the street and was struck by a passing car.   The man was taken to a local hospital where is reported to be in very critical condition.  The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene of the accident.  The MPD is continuing to further investigate the incident.
