Man hit and killed by vehicle near 44th and Greenfield

Police are investigating a crash that resulted in one death near 44th and Greenfield late Friday night.
Officials say Marcus J.J. Canales was struck by a vehicle and was unconscious and had severe head trauma, when they arrived on scene.
CPR was administered to Canales but he was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the vehicle is suspected of driving under the influence, and was taken into custody.
It's expected that section of roadway will be shut down for a time for collection of evidence.
