WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man accused in the death of a retired priest has been found guilty. 

David Gau, 93, was killed as he was crossing Wisconsin Avenue in February of 2024. 

Investigators say Clay Schueffner was behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck Gau. A criminal complaint says Gau had been using Snapchat moments before the crash occurred. 

On Monday, Nov. 3, Schueffner was found guilty of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. 

Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 15.
