Man Escapes Fire Thanks to Working Smoke Detectors

Working smoke detectors are credited for a man's safe escape from a house fire.
The fire was reported around 5:50 AM Monday morning in the 4100 block of N. 46th Street. The male occupant of the house was alerted to the fire by a smoke alarm and was able to get out safely.
The fire was confined to the upper floor of the two story home where heavy damage is reported.
