Man Dies While Attending Concert at Summerfest

MILWAUKEE - A 55-year-old male from Milwaukee died at Summerfest last night.

The man was attending a concert with his wife when he became unresponsive. He was transported to Columbia-St Mary's ER where he was pronounced dead shortly before 9:30 pm.

At this point, it seems to be an apparent natural death and it is not being treated as suspicious. According to the medical examiner, there was no sign of trauma and the cause of death is pending a toxicology report.

Summerfest released a statement this afternoon: "It is with sadness that we confirm that a gentleman experienced a medical emergency at Summerfest on Friday night. We have learned that he later passed away at a local hospital.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the gentleman’s family and our entire organization extends its deepest condolences."
