26-year-old man dead after motorcycle accident near 10th and Greenfield

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has released more details about the deadly accident that took place on Saturday, March 2 near 10th and Greenfield.

The crash reportedly took place at the intersection of 10th and Greenfield in Milwaukee, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Collin Ryan Kuehn a little after 3 p.m. Kuehn was pronounced dead at the scene despite rapid response and life-saving attempts by the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Authorities reported that Kuehn was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on a motorcycle when an SUV, attempting to cross the intersection, collided with him. The impact caused Kuehn to be ejected and land around five feet from the point of collision, with his helmet found 20 feet away.

Responders attempted lifesaving measures on the scene, but Kuehn was declared deceased at 3:50 p.m.

The Milwaukee Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash, utilizing surveillance footage from a nearby business. The scene reportedly showed significant damage to both the motorcycle and the SUV.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. near 10th and Greenfield.

According to police, a motorcycle was traveling east on Greenfield at a high rate of speed when it collided with a car traveling south on 10th Street. 

The 26-year-old driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver and passenger of the car remained at the scene and were not injured. 

The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
