KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is dead and several others injured following a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 142 and US 45 in Kenosha County.

It happened at approximately 7:19 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19.

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department says a 2007 Dodge Caliber was traveling northbound on US 45, and failed to stop at the intersection. The Dodge struck a 2010 Chevy Traverse on the passenger side as it was traveling through the intersection. The Traverse then struck a westbound 2006 Chevy Malibu.

The driver of the Caliber -- identified as a 41-year-old man from Williams Bay -- was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Pleasant Prairie where he later died from his injuries.

Officials identified the driver of the Chevy Traverse as a 27-year-old man out of Kenosha. He and three of four passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries and were also transported to area hospitals.

The driver of the Malibu, a 33-year-old Kenosha woman, was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Intoxicants do not appear to be a factor.

The investigation is still active. Anyone with information on this crash is encouraged to contact the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department at 262-605-5102.
