OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Oak Creek Police Department responded to a fatal crash on Saturday, April 13. 

It happened around 3:42 p.m. near Oakwood and Oakview.

According to police, preliminary investigation shows a vehicle was traveling westbound on Oakwood. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. One vehicle was involved in the crash. 

The driver was identified as a 53-year-old male, and a resident of Oak Creek. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A 14-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle. The 14-year-old was transported to a local hospital. Their injuries are considered critical but stable condition. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, according to police.
