Man breaks up with girlfriend, robs her at Racine Public Library

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Racine man is charged after allegedly robbing his ex-girlfriend at the Racine Public Library.

According to the criminal complaint, a woman and her boyfriend were arguing at the Racine Public Library on September 9.

During the argument, the man allegedly broke up with the woman. He then got up, pulled her purse away from her, and fled the scene.

Security video shows the man taking a wallet out of the purse.

The man allegedly made off with $40 and the woman's food stamps card.

He was later located intoxicated at the hospital.

He now faces charges of felony theft.
