KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) – Police uncover a drug operation in Kenosha after investigating a stabbing stemming from a traffic dispute.
The stabbing happened around 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Kwik Trip gas station near 39th Avenue and 80th Street. When officers arrived, they learned the 21-year-old victim had been involved in a traffic dispute with a 53-year-old man. The two men confronted each other in the gas station parking lot and the 21-year-old was stabbed in the torso.
Kenosha Police then responded to the suspect’s residence and took him into custody. While at the home, police say they found evidence of a marijuana grow operation. After getting a search warrant, officers say they found drugs, grow equipment, and firearms.
The stabbing victim was taken to a local hospital, transferred to Milwaukee, and underwent surgery. Investigators say he is in stable condition.
Kenosha Police say the suspect was arrested for first-degree reckless endangering safety, substantial battery, manufacture/delivery of marijuana, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and disorderly conduct.
