Man Arrested After Girlfriend Runs Naked and Screaming to Neighbors' Doors

A Columbia County man was arrested for strangulation and battery after his girlfriend ran door to door naked and screaming for help last Thursday, according to a release.

Around 2:00 AM, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a distressed, injured, and naked female who was going door to door in Friesland screaming for help.

Deputies responded and quickly determined that the female was a victim in a domestic disturbance.

The victim was severely beaten.

She reported that her boyfriend had strangled, hit, and kicked her. She had fled the residence after he had grabbed a knife and threatened to kill her.

She was taken to Divine Savior Hospital for treatment. She was treated for lacerations, dozens of bruises, a broken hyoid bone in the neck, and a black eye.

The investigation revealed that the victim was beaten on multiple different dates in the last couple of weeks.
