Man Arrested After Fleeing Police

A 24-year-old Milwaukee man is in custody today following a report of shots fire, pursuit and crash on Milwaukee's north side early this morning.   According to the Milwaukee Police Department, around 3 AM, officers were investigating the report of shots fired in the area of N 89th Street and W Mill Road.  Officers observed a vehicle that fled the area at a high rate of speed.  The fleeing vehicle eventual crashed into a tree near N 95th and W Allyn Streets.   The driver of the car was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department.  After he was treated for his injuries, the man was taken into custody by the MPD on a prior warrant.   The Police did recover a gun from the suspect’s vehicle.
