Man accused in deadly hit-and-run in Milwaukee arrested after nearly 9 months on the run
CBS 58/Milwaukee County Jail MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened in June of 2025.
According to a criminal complaint, 40-year-old Wyman Kemble was riding his motorcycle near 76th and Florist when 23-year-old Jarvis Walker made an illegal turn and collided with him. Kemble was pronounced dead at the scene.
Walker then fled the area.
On March 3, 2026, Milwaukee police located Walker along Marine Drive. When police approached him, Walker took off and led officers on a high-speed chase.
Police say Walker was traveling at speeds of 115 mph and police ended their pursuit.
Per the complaint, police found Walker's car later that night and entered a nearby home where they found Walker and arrested him.
Walker has been charged with the following:
- Hit-and-run, resulting in death
- Knowingly operate a motor vehicle without a valid license - causing death
- Operating a motor vehicle to flee or in an attempt to elude an officer
- First-degree recklessly endangering safety
He is expected to make his first court appearance Monday, March 9.
