BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Make-A-Wish Wisconsin is granting a Brookfield teen's wish this month.
Fourteen-year-old Tess Murray has been living with a brain tumor, and she wants to be in Rockefeller Center for New York City's Christmas tree lighting.
On Monday, Make-A-Wish gave her a taste of what's to come.
The Brookfield teen went to Pizza Ranch in Waukesha for her wish presentation. She says her family helped her decide how to spend her wish.
"It actually wasn't my idea, it was my grandma's idea," said Tess. "When we first found out about this, I had like no idea what to do. There's probably no better place to kick off the Christmas season than spending a couple days in New York City."
Tess and her family leave next Monday for the Big Apple. They'll see the Rockefeller Center tree lighting that Wednesday and a showing of Hamilton on Broadway.
