Madison Police: Man Facing Charges After Forcing Entry Into Hospital and Attacking Nurse

MADISON - A nurse was battered by a man who forced open a locked door early Saturday morning at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison.

According to the Madison Police Department, the intruder threatened the nurse prior to placing his hands on the nurse's neck. According to police, there was a struggle between the suspect and victim, and they ended up wrestling on the floor.

A security guard arrived on scene and placed the 24-year-old man in handcuffs.

According to police, it's not clear why the man had forced entry into the hospital, although the victim said he could smell alcohol coming from the man's breath. 

The nurse suffered an elbow injury.

The suspect has been identified as Michael Jarocki, 24-years-old, of Oshkosh. He has been arrested on several tentative charges  including battery, damage to property, and disorderly conduct.
