MADACC: Operating in emergency mode, still offering animal drop-off and pickups

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission says it is operating in emergency mode today, due to the ongoing blizzard conditions.

In a statement to CBS 58, MADACC says they will not be picking up stray animals and are only responding to emergency calls to assist law enforcement or fire department needs.

The public is still able to bring in stray animals or reclaim their owned animals, but they will not be offering adoptions today.

MADACC says if you are scheduled to pick up an adopted animal from surgery at 4:00 p.m. today you may still do so.

If you are unable to, they ask you to call them at 414-649-8640 to reschedule the pick-up.

MADACC will be closing at 5:00 p.m. today.
