Lohse throws complete game shutout in Brewers win

MILWAUKEE - The Brewers turned to their ace to nail down a series victory, and Kyle Lohse delivered - with his bat and his arm.

Lohse threw a complete game shutout, the eighth of his career and his second as a Milwaukee Brewer, and added two RBI singles in the Brewers 9-0 win over the Cubs Sunday at Miller.

Ryan Braun and Scooter Gennett homered for the Brewers (34-23), who extended their lead in the NL Central to four games with the Cardinals' 8-0 loss to the Giants Sunday afternoon.
