Local Special Olympian Olivia Quigley Dies From Breast Cancer

She delayed chemotherapy so she could compete, special Olympian and Brookfield native Olivia Quigley has passed away from breast cancer.

Special Olympics posted a tribute, remarking on how she epitomized the spirit of the event.

Quigley was quite the inspiration after being diagnosed with stage four breast cancer and going to win three medals, including two gold medals, last summer in Los Angeles for the world games.

She also changed the way folks view people with Autism.

She accomplished much in a short time.

A sprinter.

A role model.

Olivia Quigley was just 25 years old.
