MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We're learning more about a new affordable housing development in Greenfield.
Milwaukee County has invested $2.5 million in federal funds to expand housing options for seniors and families in that area.
County Executive David Crowley, along with public and private sector partners, led a discussion about the development Thursday morning.
"Affordable housing is critical in achieving better health, better education, and better economic outcomes, particularly at a time when Milwaukee County residents are facing significant challenges to housing access, as well as affordability," County Executive Crowley said.
Crowley also gave a tour of the construction site where 38 other units are being build.
Seven townhomes are completed.
