Local HS student-athletes Clady and Ott earn scholarships

Two local student-athletes have been awarded scholarships from the Cousins Subs Make It Better Foundation through the Wisconsin Sports Awards Scholarship Contest. Indian Train High School and Academy's Kate Clady is the winner of a $7,500 scholarship while Slinger High School's Tyler Ott earns a $2,500 scholarship.

Kate will be attending Colorado School of Mines in the fall with an intended major of Engineering. In high school she was a three-sport athlete, playing soccer and running cross country and track & field. Tyler will be attending Milwaukee School of Engineering in the fall with an intended major of Mechanical Engineering. He was also a three-sport athete in high school, playing hockey and running cross country and track & field.

Both Kate and Tyler were selected as scholarship recipients because of their work on and off the field. Throughout high school Kate volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and local blanket drive and was a participant in a Kenosha Mission Trip. Tyler was involved with the Kettle Moraine Ice Center and volunteered for Enchantment in the Park and Skills USA Service.
