MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Next 18 is taking the next step in terms of their national recognition.
The locally based program that uses golf as a catalyst to help veterans and first responders with their mental health was on display at the PGA Tour's John Deere Classic earlier this month.
FanDuel donated $100,000 while the PGA Tour itself ran a commercial helping Next 18's wait list grow to more than 900 people across 49 states.
"For a global organization to walk in and say this speaks to us and we want to support it was incredibly validating," says Next 18 executive director Matt McDonell The tour really went above and beyond to show us 'we know it's taken some time to get to this point, we're all in on supporting you.'"
