Local Golf Courses Opening This Weekend

We're looking ahead to warmer weather and golfing! Several local golf courses will be opening this weekend.

Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser has announced that Brighton Dale Links Blue Spruce and Petrifying Springs Golf Course will open for play Friday, March 24th.

“We are extremely excited about the upcoming golf season,” Kreuser said. “We invite people to visit our excellent public courses.”

According to a release, there are also many new player benefits in place.

“With all the improvements that have been made in the last few of years in the irrigation systems, cart paths, equipment and food service areas, we are really anticipating a great season,” Dan Drier, PGA Professional and General Manager said.

For the start of the season, hours of operation for both courses will be from 8:00 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week, weather permitting. As the weather gets warmer, the courses will open earlier.

Milwaukee County currently has Grant and Lincoln Golf Courses open.

Milwaukee County Parks plans to open Whitnall and Currie Golf courses this upcoming weekend. In a statement, they said they're excited to show off their newly remodeled Grant Park Pro Shop which has just been completed this week.
