MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Folks with a sweet tooth might just consider this the most wonderful time of the year: Girl Scout cookie season, which also happens to be the largest girl-run business in the world, according to the Girl Scouts.
The Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast are beginning their local cookie sales on Thursday, Feb. 1. Three scouts joined us on Tuesday, Jan. 23 to discuss the program and to preview some of the cookies that will be available this season.
Cookies will cost $5 a box for flavors such as Adventurefuls, Toast-Yay, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Trefoils, Caramel Chocolate Chip and Lemonades. Gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip will cost $6 per box.
Those looking to buy cookies can keep an eye out for Girl Scouts in their lives who are selling them and can also look for cookie booths throughout the month of March. The Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast website also has a cookie finder to help connect cookie fans with cookies.
