Local Church Plans Service To Support Abducted Nigerian Schoolgirls

MILWAUKEE -- In April, over 200 Nigerian girls were abducted from their school in the middle of the night. Almost a month later the girls are still being help captive. Though the story took a while to gain traction, once it did it sparked the Bring Back Our Girls movement. Across the world many have protested the abduction of the girls and have demanded their release.

The City of Praise Milwaukee will have a solidarity church service, on Mother's Day, to protest the girls abduction.

\"Decent people everywhere must come together as one worldwide community to condemn this flagrant violation of human rights,\" Alderman Joe Davis Sr., who plans on attended the service, said. \"Until these young women and girls are returned, safe, to their rightful homes, we cannot allow ourselves to forget, and our outrage cannot wane.\"

The service will take place May 11 at Circle of Praise Milwaukee, 5112 N. 37th St., at 10:00 a.m.
