Local brewery makes drink honoring Liberace

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A popular West Allis Brewery is paying tribute to a famous West Allis native, Liberace.

Thursday would have been his 100th birthday.

Westallion Brewing Company is making a drink in honor of him.

It's a Strawberry Rosé with glitter.

People with the brewery say Liberace truly was someone who broke the mold.

"He kind of smashes all the stereotypes that someone might have of West Allis. I mean the guy really redefined the entertainment industry and he would come from right here in a blue collar town like West Allis is pretty special honestly," said Erik Dorfner with Westallion Brewing Company.

You can celebrate Liberace's birthday with Westallion on Saturday.

They'll tap their special 'Liberace Candelabra Beer' at 1 p.m.
