RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Local animal shelters H.O.P.E. Safehouse and Rescue Outreach are set to compete in a volleyball tournament, with the aim being to raise funds for rescuing pets.

The two shelters will participate in a three-game volleyball tournament beginning Saturday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at Castle Lanes in Racine.

Attendees will have more to do than just watch the volleyball, as they are planning to welcome a variety of vendors, hold a bake sale, raffles, as well as food and beverages.

Adoptable pets will also be available. For children in attendance who want to make an "adoption" but cannot take a pet home, stuffed animals will be available. Kids will be able to enjoy a coloring book and face painting.
