MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- U.S. Rep. Jennifer McClellan and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley held a roundtable discussion with constituents at Pilot Project Brewing on Saturday, Aug. 17 to discuss reducing health care costs in the area.
During the event, participants shared personal stories about their health issues and the high expenses they face, particularly for prescription drugs.
"You have people who are telling some stories that, quite frankly, I appreciate," Crowley said. "Really being vulnerable to the American people, talking about life-saving prescription drugs — they wouldn't be here today."
Crowley and McClellan also used the roundtable as an opportunity to advocate for Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign, highlighting efforts by the Biden administration to cap prices on medications like insulin and reduce out-of-pocket costs.
