Lincoln Intermediate School in West Allis Evacuated

Lincoln Intermediate School in West Allis has been evacuated.

West Allis - West Milwaukee's School District's representative said that some writing was found on wall of the boys bathroom.

The police department assessed the credibility of the threat and a decision was made to move the students to Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1642 S 77th St, West Allis, WI 53214. All students are safe and were under staff supervision.
Classes were cancelled for the remainder of the day. Students were supervised at the church and dismissed at 3:00 p.m. unless they were picked up by a parent/guardian.
All evening sporting events as well as after school activities are cancelled.
The District treats every threat very seriously and will continue to do so in the future. In addition to expulsion, the District will pursue criminal charges and restitution for costs incurred as a result of school disruption in these cases. As the District cooperates fully with the West Allis Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office, students may face felony charges and jail time as a result of their actions.
The safety of our students and staff are the main priority of the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. If you have information regarding this incident, please call the West Allis Police Department at (414) 302-8000.
