Light the Hoan seeks local artists to help highlight nonprofit partners in 2021
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Light the Hoan has announced a partnership with Imagine MKE to highlight one local nonprofit partner each month throughout 2021.
Beginning in February, according to a press release, the Hoan Bridge will be lit in colors representing a featured nonprofit one night each month as part of the "Shine a Light" program. Light the Hoan will donate a percentage of that month's bulb donation proceeds back to the nonprofit of the month.
Limited time only posters will be available each month for purchase on the Light the Hoan website.
The funds raised each month from poster sales will be shared with the nonprofit, the artist, and Light the Hoan.
Light the Hoan and Imagine MKE are currently seeking artists to submit designs for the posters.
Chosen artists will be awarded a stipend of $250 and 10% of the profit from their design during the first year.
Artists can apply at www.imaginemke.org/ShineALight. The call for artists will close on Friday, Dec. 11 at 11:59 p.m.
