MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ahead of 414 Day, Leinenkugel's is debuting their new Milwaukee-themed beer at the Barrel Yard at American Family Field.
It's called "Fresh, Flavor, Forward," and it was made in partnership with VISIT Milwaukee for the city's holiday.
The brew is based on Berliner-Weiss, a German beer made popular in the later 1800s.
Leinie's says they wanted to create a German-style beer because of Milwaukee's rich German heritage.
"I hope that they get a nice, sessionable, refreshing beer that they can enjoy here at the ballpark, is really what it comes down to. It's going to be a great celebratory beer for 414 Day in Milwaukee," said Corrine Georges, Leinenkugel's pilot brewer.
So, what can you expect when you taste Fresh, Flavor, Forward? Leinenkugel's says it will be tart and sour, with a strong wheat taste to balance things out.
The new beer will be available on Sunday, April 14.
