MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Did you ever have a classroom pet growing up? It was usually something low-maintenance like a fish or a hamster.

Karen Doster is the director of youth and school programs for Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and Debbie Burmeister is a 4th grade teacher in Neenah in Winnebago County.
