MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- How about this for a Black Friday tradition? Friday morning, plenty of beer lovers got up very early to wait in the cold for Lakefront Brewery's limited edition Black Friday release.
We met one gentleman who got in line around 6 p.m. Thursday night! He says he has done this every year since the brewery started its Black Friday releases back in 2012.
"The cool thing about it is ya think about those big box stores and people getting in line, rush to get in, mad dash to get what they had on sale that day," said Dave Armstrong, first in line at Lakefront Brewery. "Here there's no pushing, no shoving, everybody's friends here, all here for the same thing. No need to push and shove, there's enough to go around."
This year's limited edition brew is an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels.
In addition to the special beer, Lakefront is also selling special Black Friday gear, like a beanie, shirt, blanket and bottle opener.
