Lake Geneva police ID dead man in lagoon

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Lake Geneva police announced the dead man found in a Lake Geneva lagoon Sunday was a 40-year-old man from Sharon.

Vernon Pokora has been identified as the dead man found in the water off of the 100 block of Wrigley Drive around 12:30 p.m. 

Pokora was reported missing a day prior on Dec. 26.

Officials say the cause of death is still pending.

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) ---Lake Geneva police found a dead man in the lagoon off of the 100 block of Wrigley Drive on Sunday, Dec. 27. 

The City of Lake Geneva Police Department responded to the report of a body in the water around 12:37 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located a male body in four feet of water. The body was recovered and turned over to Walworth County medical Examiner's Office, according to officials. 

The man's identification has not been made at this time.
