Lake Geneva Ice Castles to open Saturday, Jan. 22

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Ice Castles in Lake Geneva will open this Saturday, Jan. 22.

For the past month, artists have been harvesting icicles to bring the castles to life.

You can walk, crawl and even slide through the icy adventure.

And new this year, there will be horse-drawn sleigh rides down an illuminated path.

Tickets for the Ice Castles go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 19.

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Ice Castles in Lake Geneva are tentatively planned to open on January 21.

In December, ice artisans began growing and harvesting the icicles for the display.

The opening of the Ice Castles is weather dependent. A Facebook page states the display will open on January 21. On the Ice Castle website, it says tickets will be available for sale soon.
