MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Lake Geneva Ice Castles are back for the fifth year in a row. The mild January weather pushed back the winter tradition by a couple of weeks. You can now purchase tickets from Saturday, Feb. 4 through Feb 20.

People are encouraged to explore all of the tunnels, castles, slides and waterfalls.

"Where we're standing now is about three feet of ice underneath our feet," said Wally Bullard, the event manager for the ice castles in Lake Geneva.

At night, the ice castles are lit up in every color of the rainbow. And you may feel like you've been transported to a scene in Disney's Frozen.

"Walking in for the first time, even for me, five years in, every season is a magical experience," said Bullard.

Using a rack to create icicles, or an ice farm, they add water and cold temperatures to build the ice castles. The sudden cool down has actually been a good thing for visitors who come to the ice castles.

"We were able to grow so quickly because it got so cold so fast. So, we added a few new crawl tunnels and interactive features for people," said Bullard.
