Kroger pulls Russian-produced vodka from shelves

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kroger has joined a growing group of companies showing support and solidarity with Ukraine.

In a social media post Tuesday, March 1, the company announced that they removed Russian-produced vodka from their shelves over the weekend.

They also said that on Tuesday, they were sending emergency food assistance to support refugees through a grant from the Kroger Co. Zero Hunger Zero Waste Foundation to the UN World Food Programme's Ukraine Emergency Fund.

Kroger says they will match all gifts up to $250,000.

The company operates stores in 35 US states.
