MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- City leaders are informing people of their rights following a recent spike in ICE raids throughout Wisconsin.
Tuesday's 'Know Your Rights' event gave people information on what happens and what they're able to do if they're detained by ICE or police.
There was also information resources available in the City of Milwaukee including obtaining a municipal ID or access to the Mexican or other consulates.
"We want folks to be equipped with good information and you don't know the answer or you feel like you have a question, where to call and how to get it," said Alderman Jose Perez.
The city has held 'Know Your Rights' events in the past and plans on continuing engaging with the community with similar events in the future.
